Autopreply to a distribution list otlook 2000

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the autoreply rule to work in Outlook when emails are sent to via a distribution group, is this at all possible all my testing suggests that it is not, can someone confirm this, if not is there something I have to configure on the exchange box, cheers
