Autonumbering in an unbound text box??? 1

I have a report with some complex sorting involved. Is there an easy way to just add an unbound text box to the report that would consecutively number 1,2,3...as the lines of the detail section change?

Put a textbox onto the report.
Set its comntrolsource to 1 and set the running totals property to Yes.
