Autonumber

I have a form I am creating in Ultradev. I would like when the user clicks on add new record, for the Log No. to automatically populate with the next available number? How do I do this in Ultradev?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Normally you would not wan to show the next number to the user(s). Let present to you this posibility

Say your database is currently at number 566 then 2 users press new record at the same time? will you allow your users to belive their individual entries will be 567 ? or how will you handle this?

then again, if you only have one user accessing the database at a time, forget what I just said...
