autonumber jumped from 902 to 34737892

I have a field which is an auto number because it is a PK. I just realized it has jumped from record 902 to 34,737,892!

Is there a simple way to get it back at least to a number in the 1,000's. I'm just afraid that as I add more records that PK auto number will get way to big.

Any suggestions?
