AutoNumber Incrementation

Hi, I created a DB and I have a primary key that is AutoNumber and it increments. So to test my DB I inserted some fake cust. info. but now that I'm ready to launch the DB I want to set that AutoNumber back to "0"....can I do that??

Yes, delete all the test records from your table and then compact/repair your database. This will set the autonumber back to 0. Hope this helps.

You can also do it this way

delete all the records in the table
open the table in design view
delete the autonumber field
save the table
open the table in design view again
add the autonumber field back in
save the table


Your autonumber will be set back to 1
