Hi,

I have updated my auto_direct on my NIS server. But if I do /etc/init.d/autofs stop and start and then cd that directory it doesnt mount it. It only mounts it after a reboot. Can anybody tell me how to do this without a reboot.

Thanks,
Micha

Are you trying to mount this directory on your NIS server, or one of its clients?

automount -v usually picks up any new entries, but I'm not sure whether that's necessary for indirect maps (i.e. those not in the auto_master file).
