Automation with Citrix (Excel,Word)

The client's computer is running Citrix Program Neighborhood 6.01.967 and Windows 2000. I have to access Excel via Citrix.

However, I cannot launch excel.application or set up file relations through explorer (double click on filename) due to Excel located on the Citrix server not locally. This also affects Word and other applications that are not installed locally.

Does anyone have a solution on getting the local pc to open files through automation in this scenario?

You have to possibilities. Either you map to the server and automate that way (if the server in internal). Or you use the Citrix Client, log in and automate on the server. Mike Gagnon
