automation udfs

Hi,

When I create a c# dll which has a function in and then add it as an automation addin in Excel. I cannot see the functions exposed by the dll. I also tried managedxll and get exactly the same problem. I can add the automation addin but I cannot see the functions. Is there something in Excel I can change? Anyone seen this before?

Heres a better description:

Problem: Cannot see a function in Excel that should be part of my automation addin

Steps taken:

1) Went to tools - add-ins - automation and added the my automation server
2) typed =myfunction(1,2,) into a cell and pressed enter and go #NAME
3) Hit the Fx button on an empty cell and cannot see my automation add-in or the function in it.
4) Uncheck my automation addin and then restart Excel and start again - function still missing.
5) Used a program called ManagedXLL and still have the issue
6) Tried a random automation server (some microsoft one) and can see the function exposed when hitting the fx button.

Any ideas?
