Automation server can't create object (VS.NET)

Whenever I try to create a new project in Visual Studio.NET or add a new webform or something to an existing project I get the following error:

"Automation server can't create object"

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling VS.NET but the problem still exists. Has anyone else run into this before and if so what is the resolution?
