Is there a way to change a service startup type from automatic to manual via the command prompt?
Thanks in advance for any help!

There is a tool included in the resource kit, SC.EXE which gives you all sorts of service options from the command prompt.

In your case, the syntax would be:

SC CONFIG "servicename" START = DEMAND

If you don't have access to the tool or kit email me and I will send it to you.

Doug
dxd_2000@yahoo.com
