Automation error - The object invoked has disconnected from its client

I made a few updates to my userforms today: changing If...Then...Else statements to Cases. Nothing that should give me this new (to me) error.

Upon testing and clicking "OK" on my first userform, this error comes up...no matter what I click (End, Debug, Help), Word shuts down.

Error:

Run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)':

Automation error
The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.



Any ideas on why this would be occuring all of the sudden? Everything was working fine this morning.

Most likely cause is implicit instantiation somewhere - maybe some minor tweak elsewhere has made it significant. I would need to see the code to say more.
