automating word / accessing headers-footers

Hi, I'm trying to use visual c++ to automate Word to format page numbers in a document a certain way. How do I access/automate the page numbers stuff? Are there certain classes for the headers / footers?

The document has sections, and I would like it to go:

Page x of y (where x is current page _in section_ and y is the number of pages in _that section_)
