automating the detaching of attachments to local C: drive

At the monent I am dettaching attachments from emails manualy to my local PC drive. However I want to automate this process. I have done no lotus scripting nor used agents before. I have got as far a creating an agent which will act on new mail (hopefully!) and have specified the selection for the email to act on. I have absolutely no idea of how to write srcipt to dettach an attachment and to specify the location for it to go any help would be most appreciated.
