I'm building a lab and need to automate system state restores so that I can regularly perform authoritative AD database restores. You can't perform restores from the command line with NTBackup, so I need another solution. I've managed automate a restore using AutoIT (keyboard/mouse recorder), but I'd prefer a more elegant command line/scripted solution.

Does anybody know of any third-party freeware backup utilities that will restore Windows system state data from the command line? I think this would be the best approach.

Thanks.
