Hello Everyone

I have set up 2 linux enterprise servers as a high availbility pair using a Network Storage Device to hold the website data, everthing works great, but if I reboot the NSD loses its mount. And for the life of me I cannot figure where or how to automate the mounting process can anyone point me in the right direction.

If you need to mount the share on startup, you'll need an entry in the /etc/fstab file if I understand your question correctly.

That would be correct, but it didn't work

In the fstab file I put the command

smbmount //192.168.2.5/share /mnt -o lfs,rw,username=root,password=password

(1 line though) but nothing what am I doing wrong

The fstab file is not a script, it does not contain commands. It contains mount entries, which are in a different format. It should be something like this (untested):

[tt]//192.168.2.5/share /mnt smbfs lfs,rw,username=root,password=password 0 0[/tt]

Annihilannic.

Thanks guys

I have been banging my head for weeks

stars to both
