Hello all.
I am using FoxPro to automate sending an e-mail via MS Outlook. On my machine (development), I have Office 2000, and the procedure runs smoothly, no problems. On the head chief's machine, he has Office XP.
Whenever the program gets to the point of adding the names of the recipients, he gets three or four alerts popping up saying,
Not really so bad, except that he gets three or four of these (when I'm only sending one e-mail to one person) and the last one is really slow with a progress meter and everything.
Someone here suggested that I update my Windows, to make sure I have all the latest security patches, and they thought that if I did, my computer would behave the same way. I did that, and I still don't get this behavior. Another XP machine we tried it on acted the same as the boss's. So we conclude it is a security feature exclusive to XP and later versions of Office.
Is there any way to suppress this message?
I've also posted this question to the FoxPro forum, thread #184-612616.
Many thanks.
-Mike

"Another program is trying to access your Address Book...this could be a virus...etc...Would you like to allow this program to proceed?"
