Automating Inventory for Tape Loader in Arcserve Brightstor 11.5

Hi

Can anyone assist. I am attempting to setup a scheduled job that automates an inventory of the tape library using ca_devmgr. The command I use is as follows:

ca_devmgr.exe -mount 3 5 1 1 8

When I run this from as a scheduled job it fails giving a message saying unable to find this file, when I have successfully browsed to it and added the necessary parameters in Scehduled task wizard.

Where as if I run this same command from the command prompt it gives me a unathorised user failure message, even though I am using a domain admin acccount details the same details used for the scheduled task. I have double checked all details are correct Im totally stumped.

try using the job scheduler wizard
& for the 2nd
try authsetup -p "caroot password

Thanks for your reply. I gave the scheduled job a try however I had the following failure error.

BrightStor ARCserve Backup -- Generic Job


Run Command: "C:\Program Files\CA\BrightStor ARCserve Backup\ca_devmgr.exe" -mount 3 5 1 1 8 authsetup -p caroot caroot.
E3385
Scheduled command failed. Exit code is -1.

Any further suggestions would be much appreciated.

authsetup is used from a command line but not as a parameter for ca_devmgr.
