I've looked (briefly, I'll admit) for an answer using the 'search' facility but don't find anything that exactly matches my question.
Here's the deal ...
I've been tasked with writing an ftp script (which I do a LOT of every day) to pick up a file created from an Access 2000 database and send it to another server. The problem is that the Access report that creates this file isn't automated, i.e., requires the user to log in and run the report, giving it the date parameters and exporting it as an .xls file.
I can set up the Access database to run automatically using the 'at' command on the Windows server. What I'm not sure of is how to make the report (actually a macro to run the report and export the file) run whenever my ftp user accesses the database but not when the normal user logs in to use it.
Any thoughts would be most welcome.
Tnx.
Tom
