I installed many windows 2000 to different machines and I run into one question about this computer. All of the computers I have installed, When I tell windows to shutdown the computer is automatically turned off by itself. On this computer, Everytime I shutdown windows it will shutdown but the computer will say " now it is safe to turn off your computer" . Is there any way or setting for me to turn off my computer automatically and I shutdown Windows ???

Thanks

Only ATX capable machines are able to shut down automatically, I would presume this is an AT machine (older machines or lower spec) meaning there is not the capability to shut down automatically. The majority of ATX machines are always on looking for Network Pings and Phone rings to enable wake up. Example, my friend can turn his machine on with his space bar.

Check the PSU and upgrade it etc

I have had the same poblem as miek73. FatmanSuperstar can it there a way to confirm that the motherboard is not the ATX spec. We have a support contrat untill the end of the year and in the 3 machines that they have replace components we have this same problem. Should I get them to replace the motherboards again!

Anyway thanks!
