I am using Crystal Reports along with Chameleon animal shelter software.I want to set up a report so that it always prints 2 copies. I tried adding copies=2 to the ini file, but apparently that won't work because I print the report to screen for review prior to sending it to the actual printer. Anyone know if I can get this report to auto print 2 copies and maintain the screen preview?

There isn't a way that I know of to accomplish this with the designer itself, however if you open the report in Cr and go to File > Printer Setup

Choose Options and Advanced if see it. Look in the list of printer options and see if there is a value for Copy Count. If so set this to 2 and save the report.

Of course this same report would need to be on the machine running the report and you should not have the "Default Properties" check box selected.

I have only done this on a local printer.

The ini file you mention. Is this in some way related to the Chameleon app?

Thanks for your reply. The ini file is read when the Chameleon application starts. (It sets up the list of reports that can be printed from that program, and picks up screen parameters, etc.) Apparently, since I have the Chameleon app preferences set to view the report on screen before sending to the printer, it overides any printer settings saved with the report.
