10 digit dialing was recently introduced
is there a way where we can dial 7 digits and the system would automatically use the defualt area code?

SPEAKING FROM PAST EXPERIENCE YOU JUST PROLONGING 10 DIGIT DIALING, THE REASON THAT THEY HAVE 10 DIGIT DIALING IS THERE GOING TO ADD ANOTHER AREA CODE. IF YOU SAY HAVE TELEPHONE NUMBER 2585145 HOW WOULD YOU KNOW WHICH AREA CODE TO SEND IT TO. I CAN ALMOST TELL YOU THAT THE PEOPLE ASKING FOR THIS ARE HIGHER MUCKEY MUCKS, THAT DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO DIAL 10 DIGITS. TO BAD

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

perry's right... as they add nxx's you'll be doing changes forever and your users will get used to dialing the 10 digits from home and cells.. to make it works build an rlb and a dgt, the dgt just needs to del 0 and insert 1xxx, your area code.. the point the numbers that are now 10 digits to that rlb.. you may be able to just add the dgt to the current rlb..
