I want to be able to generate a Word document from command line.

The document will have a few fields. Rest of the info will remain the same.

Example:

c:> gen_doc.bat Start_Date End_Date

The above should generate a document, with the values of the dates specified in the command line.

Can not be done. You can use the commandline to start Word with a macro, and the macro could use the Document_New event to display an inputbox to take the parameters. However, I do not think you can pass arguments (your Start_Date, End_Date) to Word from the commandline.

What exactly are you doing that requires this?

I have to fill up a lot of forms. Other than the Start_Date and End_Date, everything else is same.

Hence trying to find out an easy way to do this.
