Automatically generating email when an appointment is deleted

In GroupWise 5.5 is there any way to automatically generate an email to the group affected when an appointment is deleted? Now you have the choice to delete it off the groups calendar, but they are not notified via email. This is causing a HUGE problem in our organization. Any tips would be appreciated
 
Hi!

I am not sure whether this does work, but here my idea:

Create a rule that triggers on "Filed Item" and acts on "deleted" or "number deleted", and perhaps some other criteria.

Now you can add the action "Send Mail" to all the users you want. The problem is to send it only to those who need the notification, but as every user can create his own rule, he can send himnself one or the group leader can send one to every member of his group. But that depends on the structure of your company.

A better way thatn using rules is to goto the client and click on TOOLS, OPTIONS select SEND then APPOINTMENTS at the bottom (Retun Notification) set WHEN DELETED to NOTIFY AND MAIL.
You can probably do this in NWADMIN/ CONSOLE1 so that everyone has this as default and can't change it. I just can't remember how but I know it is easy!
