Automatically Generate Media Description

Is it at possible to automatically generate the media description. I've done my search through BE, but haven't been able to find this. I'm sure it's something simple and my eyes glazed over at the time, so I missed it.

I want to be able to merely just name the tape with the backup set name and date. I cannot use the media naming because the barcoding system takes presidence.

See the help on the General tab of the backup definition dialog. If I read it correctly the system substitutes:

%j the job name
%d the date
%t the time
