Hi,

I am using Crystal Reports 10.
I have a report which uses a business view. The report is scheduled to run weekly on the Crystal Management Console.

I would like the CMC to be able to email this report out directly to an external client, so that they can then view it using the Crystl Offline Viewer. However, the client is unable to open the report as the business view is still attached when the report is emailed out. Is there an automated way of disconnecting the business view once a report has been run.
I am currently emailing the report to myself, opening it in Crystal and saving it with the business view disconnected, before sending it out to the client. They are then able to open the report.

Thanks,

Becky

Hi,
Since the client cannot access the data to refresh it, why send it in Crystal Report format anyway?
Why not use something like Excel or Word or Adobe instead?

The report is quite a complex one and allows the user to drill down into the report. Crystal is the only option for it.

Thanks,
Becky
