Hello alltogether,

I´m not sure if I am thinking along the right way, but is it possible to create a dataset in a detailtable (subDBs) while creating a new one in the Mastertable? Would it be possible to do that over more than 2 levels of detailtables?
If there´s no way, how can I avoid the problem of having a fixed order of creating datasets first in all Mastertables and than in all subdatabases via opening the respective forms one after the other?

Thanks for all ideas,

Heiko

Hello Heiko!
I'm sorry but I've lost something in the translation. Do you mean you would like to create records in a "foreign keyed" table that would be related to records in a "primary keyed" table before the record in the primary is created?
Thank you, Gord

Hi Gord,

thanks for your interest!
No, of course I won´t do that. I´d rather like to automatically create records in all tables that are linked to the Mastertable (with ref. Int.). I´m talking of two or more mastertables converging to the same subtable. I want to avoid to manually create records in all Mastertables before I´m able to store something in the subtable. I´m not sure about that table architecture, but so far I´ve got no better idea.

Thanks again,

Regards,
Heiko
