Automatically calculate the dwg scale regardless of the paper size !!!

Hello, I know 2 questions in less than 2 minutes is too much but ....

How can i calculate my drawings scale automatically.

Some times i print the dwg in an a3 sheet (for archiving)and sometimes i print it in A4 sheet (to fax it).

I want to be able to have the SCALE field on the legend updated automatically based on the paper size that i'm going to print on.

Is this possible (only VBA please !!!)?

Does the program set the layout for the paper sizes and do the printing also?
