I tried posting this to the Novell forums but got no useful help. Zenworks 4.0.1 on Netware 6sp4. Workstations are Windows XP sp1 Netware client is 4.9.1sp1a and the latest management agent before the IR release. I have around 30 workstations a mix of existing and freshly imaged pc's that when they try and import I get the following errors in the log file. The workstation objects are created in edir however, but can't Inventory them. I am able to do remote diagnostics however. Anyone seen this before, have any suggestions.

Thanks.

I found a tid (TID10092929) but it doesn't quite seem to fit, but you never know.

Something else to check is that the server has rights to create the workstation objects. Also have you tried deleting and letting the workstation recreate? What about unregistering the workstation?

I saw that tid before however we aren't even at edir 8.7.1 yet (got behind in edir updates going to 8.7.3 soon). I did delete a few of the objects this morning to see what would happen, they haven't reappeared yet.

In the zenwsimp.ncf file on the server have you adjusted the logging so you can see it on the screen as well? Then from a workstation run zwsreg from a command line and see if you get any additional error messages.

What is your import policy set to for the workstations to import to the tree?

You may want to start looking at running edir health checks, and looking for obituaries.

Just a couple of thoughts.

Yes it does log on the screen. I don't have remote access to the workstations, and there is not IT resources onsite to do it for me.

What is your import policy set to for the workstations to import to the tree? Not sure what you are looking for with this question.

no obituaries that I can find.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. Wondering what the user login number is set to in the import policy. We've had issues when this is set too high.

Another thought could be java version on the server.

I left the user login number at the default setting, and the java version is 1.3.1, That will get upgraded when we move to edir 8.7.3 in the near future.
