I have a SBS 2003 (Windows 2003) server where the automatic updates is set to automatically update each evening at 3AM, however this is not happening. When I review the Event log I do not see any errors related to this process. When I check on windows update via a web browser I see many critical updates that have not been applied to my system.

Any Ideas on how I can trouble shoot this?

Thanks!

Some organizations block Windows Update from their users' PC's so they can control how updates get applied - this is a Group Policy option. You could try checking that to see if that has been denied in a policy.

You can also try looking at the Windows Update.log under your system directory (C:\Windows) to see what is in there.

HTH,

Jason
