Hi,
I just set up a database-database automatic sync with ACT! 2000 and found that it's hardly automatic because it stops until someone enters a username and password. Does anyone have a suggestion to go around this?
I want the databases to sync after office hours, so I don't expect anyone to be around to respond to the prompt. I'd appreciate suggestions...
Thanks.

Set it up as an email synch, that does require some action on the users part to apply however, after the inital synch, it goes pretty quick.

There are a couple utilities ( that will automate the process better as well.

yeah try this. add a modified version of this to the end of your shortcut that you use to open ACT!

/user "username" /password "password"

there needs to be the space before the /user and between all the parts in order to work right.

I hope this helps.
