Hi,
I'm looking into Sharepoint and getting quite supprised by deficiency of some standard CMS/Portal components.

SITE MAP - has anyone heard/implemented web part that automatically generate a map of the site (including areas and sites). Having in mind how not-perfect is the navigation in SPS such a map would be very helpfull component.

HISTORY LOG - I need to publish a list of changes that happened in the portal in chronological way. I tried to use alerts with my allerts web part but it does not describe the nature of change. Perhas you may have an idea...

THANKS IN ADVANCE

There are a number of third party (commercial and shareware) products that do this. Take a look at Corasworks for an example. You can also develop your own solution.
