Automatic Server Recovery

Two of my Compaq servers crashed when Compaq Insight Manager attempted to reboot the system through the Automatic Server Recovery. Insight Manager also failed to notify me of the recovery.

I attempted to disable the Automatic Server Recovery under the Recovery Button in Insight Manager, however, changing the settings to disable the hardware reset did not disable the function. It still sent out a hardware reset and crashed the systems.

Is there something else I can try?

You can change the option for ASR, from booting operating system if there is a failure to just booting compaq utilities. So you O/S won't crash anymore because of the force restarting from ASR

You can change it from System Configuration Utility, just pres F10 when you reboot your server
