I am trying to come up with a way to append an automatic signature to every user's email messages, that fits our standard format.
It needs to be able to populate itself from Active Directory account information, such as "Display Name", "Title", "Department", "email address" etc.

Has anyone out there done this, and if so how?

So far I've looked at one 3rd party app, NEMX power tools for exchange(
Thanks for any input!

I just tried NEMX power tools on our exchange server.

It didn't install correctly; failed to setup the mailbox properly and gave hardly any errors. I manually setup the mailbox as per their web faq and got the service to run - but never had any success in adding a disclaimer / blocking any spam. Tried to uninstall and service would not stop. Had to kill -f the service or reboot. Mail delivery didn't seem to be affected ... at least until we noticed that it - at the same time we did the install - the exchange server started writing .eml files to the c:\temp directory. A location that exchange has NEVER used previously.

All in all - the evaluation of this tool was a disaster and screwed up the mail server. Could be bad luck on our part - maybe our configuration isn't a simple as I thought - but man. DONT try this without a backup first! You'd be signing your death warrant.

That said, I would be interested to hear if anyone had good experiences with it; and if it does indeed work once installed....

[and if it works with groupshield av software v5.2]

THanks
Ian
