Some users are complaining that they cannot make long distance calls. They either get dead air or hear this message: cannot complete number that's dialed. Since this is an intermittent problem, can this be caused by too much traffic over to few a lines? This is a single building with 2 Merlin Magixs connected together via a simulated T1. In WinSPM, this is how the first system is programmed. Pool 892 is the simulated T1 it is made up of Trk 817-839. Under Automatic Route Selection,

Default toll,
SUBPATTERN A,
Route 1
Pool 890
Absort 00
FRL 3
Call type both

Pool 890 is made up of Trk 809, 810, 811, 812, 813, this i'm pretty sure is 5 channels of the Long distance T1

there are no more routes for subpattern A

Pool 70 is made up of trunks 801-806, all of which are co lines

Is there any problems with this?

Thanks,
Tim

I belaive that if they are getting a recording, the the call is going out your switch, and reaching the LEC. Maybe find out if there are any restrictions from the LEC or LD carrier...

If intermittant, most likely a CO trunk problem with enequal lines. By unequal, I mean that some are set up to dial LD some are not. The dead air problem is most likely a dead line in pool 70. Try dialing a problematic number using each of the CO trunks, until you find the culprit, then have Telco either change it, or drop it from your pool.
