Hello everyone,
I've began working at a University 6 years ago as a student worker. When I started we had a very outdated Avaya Definity G3 and recently upgraded it to a Hybrid system running a Gateway 450, CM6 with the old cabinet tied in via a Media Processor board. My question is in regards to an issue that has been around my university for a while.
I'm the first telephony guy they've had that is actually documenting what extension reside where. This is usually done by having one of my student workers sit at a desk and jot down what comes up on the display from what number I call. I'd like to know if there's a built in feature similar to what you get when you call 1-800-444-4444. I can't do this on campus since the system on the other end will only get our outward-facing DID. If there isn't is it possible to create one via a vector? Thank you in advance for your help!

I will send you a copy of a vector that is just built for this same purpose, but can not do this until monday, it's pretty cool you dial 4444 and it will tell you what extension you are calling from.

Thanks BIS, this is the exact vector that we use to do this so thanks for saving me some time sending it to him, but remember Dariusz 2k, you will need to record all of the number announcements
