Hello, got a couple of questions about IPO Basic Edition auto attendant.

1. Can the AA answer callers automatically after hours and all weekend or does a night button have to be pressed?

2. When calls are answered by the AA after hours, can the caller press a single digit and be transferred to an external number?

The customer wants no AA answering during day hours then automatic AA answering during night hours plus answer all weekend long.
In addition they want callers with an emergency to be able to press "1" and the AA perform an external transfer to ring a cellphone carried by service personnel.

From the information I've gathered so far, it doesn't look like the IPO Basic Edition will do these things which is a bit surprising considering the customer's 20 year old NEC system does this.

Thanks

Basic mode can do all of that except the forwarding offsite... you have to dedicate a phone with a button permanently pressed (cant use the phone basically) to forward calls offsite.

I still agree though get an essential edition license and run Standard dont bother with Basic it sucks.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
