Hi -

I need help with sending automatic messages to the Access user (i.e. in 45 minutes, User X needs to receive a message). I will need this procedure to happen frequently, and there are 10-20 users at a time on the database. Each user will need to get a different message, and messages will not be sent at the same time. What is the best way to send these messages? Pop-up? Microsoft Outlook? Any help or guidance to a good manual is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

How do you identify which user gets a message?
How would you trigger the message? Time, records pending processing, specific event has occurred, ...?
Do the users only get messages while logged into Access?
Are there factors external to MS Access that need to be considered?
Do you want a pop-up message or an email message sent? Or both?

The best way to handle messages depends on the answers to these questions. At least for starters, I need a lot more info. Terry
