automatic linking....

This is hard for me to explain:

If you just type in an address minus the "

http://";

and the "

http://www.";

into a web browser, most sites will automatically come up... i.e. if you just type in "americanexpress.com" and not "

http://www.americanexpress.com";,

it will still link you to "

http://www.americanexpress.com";

How do I get my site to do this? If I just type the address without the "

http://www",

nothing comes up. If I type the "

http://www"

along with the rest of the address but not the "

http://";,

it comes up. I want it to come up without the "

http://";

AND without the "

http://www"

How do I do this?

I'm not even sure if I'm in the right forum, but please, any help would be appreciated.

either set your browser to auto complete urls
or set your web server to understand yourdomain.com as an alias for

http://www.yourdomain.com
