Automatic Discount for One Item in RES 3700

Dear All,

I want to set a 20% automatic discount on one item can in Micros RES 3700 someone tell me the step by step procedure to do it.

What are the rules for the 20% discount? e.g is it based on total price,quantity,sales price etc.

Step 1: Create New Discount; Sales>>Discounts>>General
- Type; Automatic
- Tax Class; "place your figure"%
- SLU; Beverage Discounts
- Print Class; Guest Check
- Set Effective From & Effective To
- Menu Level Class; (Happy Hr) etc

Step 2: Sales>>Discounts>>Itemizers
- Check Itemizer ; that the item corespondent to.

Step 3: Sales>>Discounts>>Rule Setup>>Trigger 1
- Under Menu Item Set, Add your newly created Discount.
- Set Members; Add
- Type; Family Group
- Start & End Number;
- Active for Price 1 through to 10

Step 4: Sales>>Discounts>>Rule Setup
- Rule Type; Quantity Threshold
- Tag your newly created discount on Trigger 1 & Award MI Set
- Trigger Quantity; 1
- Award Quantity; 1
- Award Type; Amount Substitution
- Constraint Type; No Constraint
- Check ‘Subtract Discount amount from MI’s Price’

NB: If items are posting price 0.00 after the configuration, Go To;
Menu Item Classes>>Price/Totals
- Uncheck ‘Enable prices 2 through 10’
