Hi,

How could I programe the switch so that it is on automatic answering and directing incoming calls. Instead of the receptionist answering all the calls there is a recorded voice giving directions. eg press 1 for enquries ,press 2 for support services, press 3 for accounts and so on. (Some large corporations around here use this method) I guess the directed numbers would be programmed in memory. Is there a programe to do this? This would lift the burden off the receptionist as we do receive a very good number of calls in a busy working day. We use ips2000 and I am familar with Martworx. I would really appreciate any tips given.

Many Thanks.

That is a function of a Voicemail/AutoAttendant system. If you have a VM, then take your main DID number and set it to call forward all to the VM pilot number. In the VM create a mailbox matching the main DID number. Record your greetings then set up the one key dialing. If it is an Active Voice or NEC iM-16 or AD-8, then create a Transaction box as the mail box for the main DID number.

Thanks belevedere. I will try it out and see what happens. Appreciated.

G!le.
