Anyone know how to schedule restores to grab the latest backup job and not the one that was checked during the creation of the restore job?
For example; I would like to restore data backed to a tape that can hold many days worth of daily backups. When I create the restore job I don't have an option to have backup exec change it's selection to the latest date. It will continue to restore the data that is checked in the initial restoration selection. I don't want to restore the same day everyday, I want to restore the latest day. I read that IDR does this but is there a way to do it without using IDR (intelligent disaster recovery)
Thanks!
