Automated popups

Hi to all
I am new to this forum so please bear with me for a day or so.
Ok here's the problem.
I need to do the following:
on a hover button i need to open a subset of buttons when the mouse cursor is over this button.
Example:
when the user points the mouse on the 'Projects" button
I need to automatically display two other buttons (ie 'current projects' and 'completed projects').
Any alternative recomendations will be welcomed.
