I am looking for a way to automatically generate a report with the mailbox sizes (prefer sorted by size) so i can email this report to my manager automatically on a schedule (read do it from dos). Problems; we have 2 exchange servers in an active-active cluster, each of them has 4 Mailbox Stores. I can see all this data from the MMC snapin but i don't want to be giving that to ppl that may screw something up.

That would be mailbox manager, the postmaster get statistics of all mailboxes. Set Mailbox manager to report only.

are you talking about just the standard Exchange 2000 mmc plugin or is there something i am missing?

in system manager, click help, look for mailbox manager, it's all in there.
It will email you stats on usage, on a schedule you define.
You can even use it to autoclean mailboxes too, but that is not applicable here.
