Hi guys!

I have gone through a number of samples of automating email now, but have failed to get any of them to work :)

This will be to do with our corporate network lockdown, of that I am certain, but before I go any further with this can anyone recomend the best solution for automated email?

My reqs:

It's free
doesn't use anything 3rd party
doesn't need anything registering on the client's computer
doesn't rely on any mail package

All I need at this stage is 1 recipient with subject and body, no attachments and I'm not bothered about HTML mail.

What's the best way to go with this?

TIA
Neil

Thanks Mike! Looks nice and simple - will give it a whirl :)

I use the WestWind solution, it works well - particularly if you have clients who don't use outlook - but has limitations (it's not exactly free - but it is a one off cost).

About any email solution with foxpro is listed here:

If really nothing works to you, perhaps check, if there is a connection to internet at all ;D.

If you have internet, email (smtp) is the least restricted besides http.

I suggest you first setup any email client to find out what credentials you need in regard to the mail server you send mails to. mail server, account, password.

Bye, Olaf.

Hi guys!

Thanks for the additional info. I have a day working from home on Wednesday so will have a go with it all then, when I have complete control of the network :)
