I am using CR8 with the Web Component Server to currently distribute on-demand reports. It works fine. My problem is to find a way to shedule reports so they automatically execute and distribute(file,e-mail,printer,etc.) on a recurring basis. I have downloaded and used the distribution expert, but you can't schedule anything recurring, so I might as well just run them manually anyway.

From what I have read, the following seem to be the ways to do this:
1. with Windows NT Scheduler.
2. from a custom Visual Basic application.
3. using Seagate Info.

What I am looking for is the best way I can do this with the minimum installation/setup effort and expense. If anyone can provide some feedback on their personal experiences with this issue, and what you feel would work the best, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is also at least one third party scheduler. I have a link to it on the links page of my web site.

Be careful that you understand the licensing issues for automatic distribution starting with V8. See the link on my site called "fine print" for details. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

Ken,
Thank you very much. This app is simple, and
it works! It will definitely satisfy what we
need to do until we uprade to CR8.5 or above
sometime in the future.

Do you know the purchase price for this? I have
requested a quote. Thanks again!!

I don't make a penny from this product, but I liked it so I listed it in my newsletter. My Last newsletter (see the back issues on my web site) had some very helpful pricing info. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
