Does anyone know of software that will allow me to make a change to all routers in an organization in a scheduled automated fashion.

Example:
I have 300 users using isdn. They all have cisco 800 series routers. I want to schedule a process that will ping the router and if it replies, apply the change, if not move on to the next router in my scope of addresses. I have found nothing that will allow me to do this as of yet.

Am I asking for to much?

It'd be a kludge between a couple of apps but look at these..

Solarwinds.net has several pieces that can do this..

kiwi software has a package that supposedly can do it from the schedule to the upload. I've not tried it but the product is pretty good from what I've used.

Here is the blurb off their site about the software. I own it and use it but not for automatic updates.

The RapT project aims to automate telnet access and software image uploads to routers. At the moment only Cisco Routers are supported, but the project aims to add support for a large variety of telco-systems. It is all based on Expect and Tcl.

It's a linux app, but possibly portable to Windows using TCL.
