Our main number is administered as a listed-directory-number. We want to set up so calls to this number go to automated attendant in voice mail. Since the main number is not a 'station' type I can't give it coverage to voice mail. Does anyone know significance of listed directory number in the definity (there's not much to the form). What might be affected if this was changed, or can it even be changed... We have 3 attendant consoles, each with an individual extension. They are also members of a hunt group. Currently, all incoming calls to the main number go direct to them. This is on a definity G3r version 9, with intuity audix. Thanks for any ideas or help.

The Listed Directory Form has a night location setting. When the console put the system in night mode, only the primary console can do this, all internal callers, people who internall who call 0, will go to the number specified on the listed directory form. Also, for trunk groups, if there is not a night service destintation(sp)specified in the trunk form inbound trunk calls will also go to the night number. You can get a little tricky here. You could have internal callers at night dialing 0 (operator) go to a guard desk, and have external callers go to an auto attendant in voice mail. If you do give this a try let me know because there are a few trick to get the auto attendant to work in audix.

The "listed-directory-number" routes all calls to this number to the operator when the pbx is the "day mode". If u don't want these calls to go to the operators(attendant consoles)if the system is in the day mode, then u can remove the extension from the "listed directory number" form, and make a station for that number(with a "x" for the port)and lead it to audix with a cover path. Then make a auto attd in the Intuity with that extension, or use the auto routing table to route according to time of day.

The attendant consoles should never be in a hunt group. This defeats many features that are special to the attd console. Just have a cover path that leads to the attds. Put attd in the cover path point. Don't use the extension for anything except for call accounting reports or attdts calling another attd.
