I found one article in this forum that went over this issue but it didn't help me. For some reason whatever I do I cannot get the Automated Attendant to pickup incomming calls.

- I have a 2 port 007MLM.
- The extensions for the 2 ports are 26 and 27 which I have programmed into calling group 770
- The extensions I have are 10 - 19, 10 being the operator station. Which are Programmed into Coverage Group 30.
- Pool #70 is programmed into calling group 770
- Lines on operator extension are set to delayed ring.
- Automated Attendant greeting recorded.
- Number of digits accepted for extensions is 3

What happens when a new call comes in is that the operator extension rings after 2 rings. times out and a message comes on and says that extension 10 is not available, transferring call, and it transfers to extension 10.

- Do I need to program Port 7 from the voicemail card into the calling group?
- Should the touchtone gate be on or off?
- What am I overlooking?

Create mailbox 770 and give it a class of service of 15.

when I take station 10 out. all it does is ring. It doesn't transfer back to the operator station or ring into the voicemail.

That got me into merlin mail, finally. but on the seventh ring

Way too complicated--- If you want the AA to be picked up on all inbound calls:
If 770 is your VMS calling group, then assign all the lines you want answered to 770. THEN in the Merlin Mail, Set AA#1, 2, or 3 to answer lines xx, the same ones you have the VMS calling group set to answer.
Works like this: PBX set to answer specific lines by assigning them to a VMS calling group, These calls sent to VMS with their respective line ID's, 801, 806, etc. The VMS plays the AA associated with these line ID's. If there is only 1 AA, then assigning the line ID's is unnecessary.

Are the lines in pool 70, which is assigned to calling group 770? If not, assign the individual lines to 770 instead of pool 70.

The strange thing is that it wouldn't let me assign individual lines to the calling group. I inspected all calling groups and they were all empty. In fact, the only way I could assign pool 70 to calling group 770 is to delete all the lines from the pool, assign pool 70 to calling group 770, then reinput all the lines into the pool. I have a T1 card (100D) with TIE Trunks. I tried busying out the T1 card and assigning the individual lines, but that didn't work. I was thinking that had something to do with it but I still haven't figured out how to assign the individual lines.

This is how my lines are configured:

TRUNK 801 Slot/Port : 1/ 1 TIE-PBX
Direction: 2 Way E&M Signal: Type1S Dialtone: Remote
InType: Wink InMode: TouchTone AnsSupvr: 300 ms
OutType: Wink OutMode: TouchTone Disconnect: 300 ms

Once the lines are in pools, you can't assign them individualy. If they are in pool 70, when you go to Calling Groups > Line and Trunks > 770 > Enter, you type in 70 and Enter. This will assign all the lines in the pool to the calling group.

Tommy,
The only way I can assign pool 70 to calling group 770 is to delete all the lines from the pool, assign pool 70 to calling group 770, then reinput all the lines into the pool. Is that normal?
