Dear List,

I posted this in Access other topics without sucess. Was I in the wrong forum?

I need to automate the cyclical creation of web content from a 97 Access database but do not know where to start. The database contains an organisational thesaurus and the objective is to produce pages with links that replicate an Access form allowing the user to browse the thesaurus which contains 2500 entries. I had envisioned producing a web page for every entry in a primary table (??) that would contain information from fields in the primary table as well as from tables that have established relationships to the primary table.

Am I out of my league here? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My thought would be to look in the web software forums... If you have front page, or dreamweaver or some thing else, there are a few forums on here that fit what you need better then here. The reason i say this is because this forum is for things primarily done within access, and what you're thinking about is (My opinion) rather advanced web pages....

Sorry...

Thanks for the suggestion James. Posted in the Frontpage forum but as yet no reply.

Actually you need to learn ASP to do what you need. The user would then enter some info in a web form, the OK button will run an ASP script and will return a HTML page filled in with info from the database. A good learning site for ASP is
You can produce static html pages from Access by outputting tags and structured information to a html file opened from VBA, but it's not very elegant or productive...
