Hi,

is it possible to move existing emails within the the inbox to a sub folder automatically? currently the inbox has around 125,000 items. The mailbox is around 4gb, over a slow connection this is painful. I can't move items in bulk as it times out, so I'm having to manually move over half a day's worth of email at a time.

I'm looking into moving all 2006 emails into a 2006 sub folder so as break down the size of the inbox. Once done I can look into archiving the emails.

Any ideas please advise

Thx

Not sounding mean but how on earth can someone let their mail get as many emails and size as 4 gig. Housekeeping, saving files out surely, or a Time Management course to make time !! Surely files should be saved and archived without using Outlook as a storage facility !!

Just create a mail rule to move messages based on date. Then run it manually on the inbox.
